Richmond’s Christmas TACKY LIGHT TOUR


Tour Availability Information:

Tours are offered every night from November 24, 2023, through December 31, 2023, covering the period from after Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve.


Tour Time Details:

Tours are available seven days a week, except for Christmas Day.

Tours can commence as early as 5:30 pm and conclude as late as 11:30 pm, with the exception of Christmas Eve, which starts at 5:30 pm and ends by 8:30pm.

A FULL TOUR IS 3 to 5 HOURS (Depends upon Pickup Locations)

Our standard Light Tour begins at a designated pickup and drop-off point in the Richmond, Ashland, and Glen Allen area. The tour follows a carefully planned route that we have created, and it lasts for a total of 3 hours, from the starting point to the finishing point. If you reside outside of the Richmond, Ashland, and Glen Allen area, we recommend arranging to meet us at one of the specified alternative locations.

Central Virginia boasts stunning holiday light displays throughout the region. Our meticulously crafted route showcases around 12 to 20 beautifully decorated homes in Richmond, Ashland, Glen Allen, and the West End of Richmond


AWARD WINNING LIGHTS

For most of the houses on our route, the group will stay inside the vehicle, and our driver will briefly pull over by the curb, allowing the group to savor the dazzling lighting display. However, at the largest displays, we'll park a short distance away and provide the opportunity for the group to disembark from the vehicle. These houses have earned recognition over the years for their outstanding Christmas light decorations and have received awards for their exceptional displays.


Flexible Route Choices

Extend the evening and enjoy more time with the limo by planning for activities such as dinner, drinks, dessert, or any other special requests. Please remember that these additional arrangements should be made in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Richmond Christmas Tacky Light Tour

  • WHEN DOES MY TIME START?

    Your rental period begins at your chosen pickup time when the vehicle arrives at your location. The drop-off time marks the end of your time. For instance, if you've booked a 3-hour light tour from 5 pm to 8 pm, the vehicle will be at your pickup address by 5 pm, and you should have exited the vehicle with all personal belongings by 8 pm.

  • WHAT CAN WE BRING? (INCLUDING ALCOHOL POLICY)

    Passengers are welcome to bring their preferred beverages. However, alcohol consumption is limited to individuals of legal drinking age, which is 21. Virginia ABC laws prevent us from providing alcoholic beverages. Group members can bring their own alcoholic beverages, but they must remain inside the vehicle at houses where passengers are allowed to exit. Light snacks such as chips, cookies, crackers, etc., are permitted, but hot foods, sauces, or ice cream are not allowed. Any group that spills food or drinks inside the vehicle will incur a cleaning fee ranging from $50 to $250 based on the severity of the mess.

  • DO I HAVE TO PLAN THE ROUTE?

    One of the most enjoyable aspects of our Tacky Light Tour is that the route is already mapped out for you. The Richmond Times Dispatch compiles a list of homes that make up the official Tacky Light Tour, and we select from those while adding others that aren't on their list to create our own route for your enjoyment. It's essentially effortless on your part, aside from getting your group together.

  • CAN WE STOP FOR BATHROOMS?

    • Our Light Tour route includes two convenient bathroom stops within the 3-hour time block. Additional stops can be accommodated upon request, but please be aware that these additional bathroom stops will impact your tour duration, potentially shortening the tour. Additional time may not be readily available.

  • ARE WE ALLOWED TO GET OUT?

    The majority of the tour involves riding in the vehicle. However, we do permit the group to exit the vehicle at key locations, primarily at the most impressive award-winning houses. Between these designated houses and the included bathroom and refreshment stops, there will be ample opportunities to stretch your legs.
